Hopefully, our LEMFEV helps incentivize kids to become space explorers!

Last week, we gave four talks about the LEMFEV to kids aged 10 to 15 in four cities in the Moscow region. This beautiful opportunity was given to us by the organization "Movement of the Firsts".

It was an immense pleasure and joy to share the ideas that we are so passionate about, and see a vivid interest in the eyes of those guys! I was happy to answer those sometimes-tricky questions, and to contemplate with the kids the topics related to Mars exploration and aircraft design.

Looking back, I realize how helpful these short conversations were in taking a broader and hopefully more realistic and objective perspective on the meaning and direction of our work. Also, they were extremely useful in appreciating the social role of a scientist and engineer. There are many reasons causing me to invest time and effort in my projects and work hard, but one of the key goals for me must be trying to help those around me live happier, more fulfilled lives.
